I wear these without socks on all the time.
I wore them to the gym a lot before the pandemic exclusively on the elliptical and in the sauna. After the pandemic I wore these to walk my dog and run. They are mesh, so they absorb a lot of sweat. I have also worn them to work before, on my feet all day.
